Day 2

Contrasts & Crossings

Sun, 5 October 2025

Todays all about peeling back the layers of Japan, guided by a local expert who knows the city like the back of their hand. We start in Ginza, wandering through high-end department stores and shiny storefronts before stumbling upon a quiet, centuries-old temple tucked between the glitz. We catch a delicious lunch of hand-rolled sushi at a local sushi bar. Post our hearty lunch, we head to Harajuku, where quirky street fashion meets irresistible Japanese crepes. Walk through Takeshita Street, stopping at unique boutiques and snack stalls. We wrap up in Shibuya: hear the tale of loyal Hachikō, conquer the famous crossing, and get a taste of Tokyos buzzing nightlife and neon-drenched casinos.

Day 3

TeamLab Planets and Tokyo, Your Way

Mon, 6 October 2025

We start the day in a dream. Wade barefoot through the mind-bending, light-soaked world of teamLab Planets. Then, chase what you loved most: Disneyland thrills, old-world Asakusa charm, or a return to your favorite Tokyo corner. We regroup in the evening for a slurp-worthy dinner, where the ramen is rich, the vibe is focused, and every bowl hits the spot.

Tue, 7 October 2025

Today, weswapskyscrapers for scenic views. We head toHakone, where nature puts on a show. First, wecruiseacross Lake Ashi, with Mount Fuji (fingers crossed for clear skies!)loomingin the distance. This is also where we try the incredibly famous black boiled eggs ofOwakudani, boiled in thesulphurouswater of the active volcano that gives the eggs shells a distinctive blackcolour. Then, we ride theKomagatakeRopeway, floating above forests and volcanic valleys. Its Japans raw beauty, just a few hours from the city. We spend the night in a traditional Japanese hotel (ryokan) with a natural hot spring bath, an experience that will stay with us for a long time to come

Day 5

Bullet Train to the Past

Wed, 8 October 2025

This morning, we board the Shinkansen, the legendary bullet train, and zip our way to Kyoto, Japans timeless heart. After check-in, we dive into the citys soul: wandering the bustling Nishiki Market for street eats and local flavors, and then exploring the historic Gion district with a local guide, where geisha traditions still whisper through the lantern-lit lanes. Its a full day of food, culture, and magic Kyoto style.

Day 6

Temples, Trails & Taste of Tradition

Thu, 09 October 2025

Today, set your own pace. Well begin at the beautiful Fushimi Inari Shrine, walking beneath its iconic vermillion torii gates, then continue to the serene Sagano Bamboo Forest and the golden brilliance of Kinkaku-ji. You may also opt for a day trip to Nara, where bowing deer and the grandeur of Todaiji Temple await. In the evening, we slow things down with a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, followed by a feast of matcha-flavoured desserts to close the day on a sweet note.

Day 7

Big Flavors, Bright Lights

Fri, 10 October 2025

Off to Osaka, Japans street food capital and party town. We kick off with a photo stop at the iconic Osaka Castle, then head straight to Kuromon Market for a mouthwatering food tour (think takoyaki, fresh sushi, and some surprises along the way). The evening is all neon and nostalgia as we shop and stroll down Dotonbori Street, Osakas electric playground.

Day 8

Your Day, Your Way

Sat, 11 October 2025

Today, we explore Osaka at our own pace, but before we head out, we devour some fluffy pan cakes for breakfast, a must-not miss treat in Japan. On this day, choose what you wish to do, maybe re-visit your favourite bites, spend the day at Universal Studios, dive into quirky neighbourhoods, or just soak it all in. For those seeking something deeper, an optional day trip to Hiroshima awaits. Walk through history at the Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Dome, then ferry across to the serene Miyajima Island to visit the floating Itsukushima Shrine. A powerful, moving experience and a stunning contrast to Japans urban energy.

Day 9

Sayōnara, Japan

Sun, 12 October 2025

One last bowl of ramen, one last konbini run to 7-11, and just like that, its time to say goodbye. Japan gave us temples and tech, ramen and rooftops, quiet moments and neon nights. We came for a trip, but were leaving with a thousand stories. Until next time, sayōnara, and arigatou.
